Welcome To Urban Garden Welcome to UrbanGarden. Our aim is to promote the growing local movements in Prague and the Czech Republic. We wish to help consolidate information and offer a place where people can share their own info on local foods, recipes, gardening, farming, and local business activities.

Urban Garden is a site for people who share an interest in supporting and learning more about our local farms and small businesses, community action and service ventures, environmental concerns, promotion of healthy ideals and lifestyles, current cultural activities, and of course…urban gardening.

We want to work together with others who focus on the positive aspects of living in Prague and the Czech Republic, as well as continuously strive to make it a better place to live in the future.

All contributions of articles, recipes, links, opinions and constructive ideas concerning the topics above are most welcome. Thank you for your interest and we hope to hear from you soon!

Love the site you guys! Here’s a very interesting link. Have heard about this place and now want to go. It’s near our chalupa, north of Tabor, in Votice. Do all organic meats, veg, etc. and also have training, etc. I think maybe a petting zoo.

Check it out and let’s go see it!

Great idea. In addition to the farmers’ markets, I think this site is a great step forward in Prague’s image of itself.

We can also confirm that Bohemiae-Rosa is the real deal when it comes to bio/organic. Audrey and I were there several weeks ago and got a tour of the place. Ingmar is a thoughtful, knowledgeable guy and he offers a broad range of meats and some produce. I think he may even do deliveries in Prague from time to time.

    Good luck!

Is your website still active? I don’t see anything current – hope you will update soon with Farmer’s Markets for 2011!

    • Dean says:

Hi, we’re working on the 2011 market schedule, should be up next week. We haven’t noticed many changes from the 2010 so far, but are double checking.

Hey, Karen, we’re still around and the season is just getting going for us. Thanks for the interest!
